Bourbon Q Burgers
Smoky, sweet, and irresistibly juicy—these Bourbon Q Burgers are infused with the rich flavors of Papa Jacks Maple Bourbon Marinade for the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20 blend for best flavor)
- ⅓ cup Papa Jacks Maple Bourbon Marinade
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 slices smoked cheddar or gouda cheese
- 4 brioche or potato buns
- ½ cup crispy fried onions (optional)
- ½ cup bourbon BBQ sauce
- 4 slices crispy bacon (optional but recommended)
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
Instructions:
- Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, mix ground beef with Papa Jacks Maple Bourbon Marinade, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 evenly sized patties, about ¾-inch thick.
- Preheat Grill or Skillet: Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or pan.
- Cook the Burgers: Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your preferred doneness. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of smoked cheddar or gouda to melt.
- Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a skillet for extra flavor.
- Assemble: Spread a layer of bourbon BBQ sauce on the bottom bun. Add lettuce, a tomato slice, the burger patty, crispy fried onions, and crispy bacon (if using). Top with the other bun.
- Serve: Pair with fries, grilled veggies, or coleslaw, and enjoy with a cold drink!
